Digital image of object with plotted barcodes is registered by video camera and transferred to the PC. During the analysis of acquired image the barcodes are detected and read out. The system detects all barcodes in camera view regardless to their size, location, orientation and geometric properties of underlying surface. Barcodes can be partially soiled and rubbed as well as covered by cellophane or placed over any complex background.
